Zoom Out Of You to ME-nnovate!

Updated: Jul 8, 2020

As you transition through the ME-nnovation process you will get to "Zoom Out of You" through a guided resetting and reflection process. If you have just begun your transition or feel stuck, it is time to "zoom out" and see your life in perspective. You will evolve by separating the old from the new; letting go of the tension tied to the past and its impact on your present, and zooming into a new you, a new future- with you- at your best and on your own, uniquely crafted plan. Psychologists call this: Objectivity-but what is that? How do you get it? There, a professional skill set and tools, exercised in a partnering relationship with you, will bring you to see reality differently and the future more hopefully.

Zooming out will provide you with a clear and objective perspective to look directly and broadly at what is driving you most and what you so desperately desire. It will allow you to face your fears, tap into your yearnings, assess your values, own your talents, and see with clarity the contexts that you have created that may holding your current reality in tact but due to external changes need to be reconfigured, re-imagined, and re-designed. Zooming out will afford you the opportunity to look at the key facets that have, and continue to exert a profound influence on your choices and behavior.

Humans are given the ability to think about what we are thinking, believing, feeling and doing. This ability is mostly operative when not in a reactive, stress induced state of being. The ability we have to “zoom out” gives us great opportunities to change our minds through introspection, re-framing, re-imagining and re-designing our lives.

What we currently perceive of our value can be narrow unless we find a way to zoom out of our total life context to look at the facets that have and are influencing our behavior, attitudes, thoughts, and feelings about the world and ourselves through lenses of perception. Zooming out means that you intentionally take yourself on a journey of discovery by opening up an honest conversation with yourself to see with much breadth where you currently find yourself. When you get to zoom out of you, you can look at your life as a whole and then separate and investigate, reconcile, renegotiate, or radically change the influences that are exerting the most significant impact on you and those you care most about.

The reflection and resetting steps from a Zoomed Out perspective are pre-requisites to a true transformation and evolution for oneself. They are pre-steps and speak to the big questions of What and Why. Being strategic about oneself to frame the bigger questions before getting into the transformation journey (i.e. the how questions) will sustain your efforts, bolster your endurance, and ensure that your decisions are not unduly influenced or hijacked by noise factors or fear.

As humans we are gifted to be able to find answers to the What and Why questions of:

  1. What is my calling and my purpose?

  2. What is the world wanting of me, what is calling me out?

  3. To what degree am I aligned to my true calling?

  4. What do I really want for my life and my career?

  5. What are my unique capabilities and gifts?

  6. What forces were exerting the strongest influences on me then and now?

  7. Why am I stuck, afraid, restless?

The next steps for zooming back into life will have to do with the important questions of manifestation or how to implement your vision, goals and values. The question for how to uplift ones spirits and innovate oneself from a core conviction and authentic stand point is bolstered ,preconditioned and supported by a clear commitment to the changes implied by answers to the first set of questions.
